Remainer Tories to be forced to sign hard Brexit pledge to FINALLY quit single market
THERESA May is expected to end the free movement of EU citizens into Britain, pull out of the single market and end the European Court of Justice rule in the UK in the new Conservative manifesto, according to reports.
The suggested manifesto leak is part of a triple lock to deliver on the Brexit vote last year and wipe the floor with Remoaners determined to defy the will of the people. It comes after MPs voted by 522 votes to 13 to back May’s calls for a snap General Election on June 8.

And as part of a reported plan to quell potential backbench rebels within her own party, Tory Remainers will have to sign up to the manifesto pledges – effectively “locking them in”.
A Tory source told the Mail: “All Conservative candidates will have to stand on the manifesto – it will lock them in and provide a much stronger mandate. It will also send a message to the House of Lords that they cannot get in the way.”
The Prime Minister has also left the door ajar on the possibility of ditching several promises made by her predecessor David Cameron – including spending 0.7 per cent of national income on foreign aid.

Ministers refused to confirm whether the “triple lock” on pensions would be scrapped or if the pledge to reduce net migration into the “tens of thousands” would be retained when the manifesto is published in two weeks time. The former Home Secretary looks set to frame the General Election along the lines of Brexit. Launching her campaign to increase her slim 17 seat working majority, she said: “When people voted to leave the EU they did vote to end free movement as it has been – they voted for us to have control of our laws so we are not subject to the ECJ.
“We will be ensuring we negotiate the best possible deal with the EU – a deal which will cover the various issues that people are really concerned about in terms of ensuring control of our borders, control of our laws, control of our money.”

Furthermore, the manifesto proposals will make it harder for the House of Lords to go against her and block Brexit too.Under the “Salisbury Convention”, the Lords cannot block legislation made in the manifesto of the governing party, but can only delay them for a year.
Tory bigwig Sir Desmond Swayne said: “The policy the Prime Minister announced, of pursuing a general election and securing a mandate in this house and a mandate to bind the other place to the Salisbury convention, is therefore essential.”
