‘They’re irrational!’ Professor blasts ‘bizarre’ EU negotiators over Brexit talks

A PROFESSOR has blasted European Union negotiators for their treatment of the UK in Brexit talks, saying the bloc is “bizarre” and “irrational”.

Professor Alan Sked said EU negotiators were purposely making trade negotiations difficult by adding strings including freedom of movement and a multi-billion pound divorce bill. His comments come after International trade secretary Liam Fox hit out at Brexit doom-mongers saying a free trade agreement with the EU would be one of the “easiest in human history”.Put to him whether Dr Fox’s comments that a free trade deal with the EU would be “easy” to negotiate, the emeritus professor from the London School of Economics, replied “extremely”.

Speaking on RT he said: “Theoretically it should be extremely easy, after all, they’ve now got a deal with Canada.
