REMAINING in the single market and opting for a ‘soft’ Brexit would be betraying Britain’s biggest democratic exercise, Nigel Farage has blasted.

Lashing out against calls for Theresa May’s Government to keep the country within Brussels’ customs union, the Brexit architect warned the commitment to the EU Referendum result is fading. The Brexiteer added that remaining in the single market would mean freedom of movement of people, while Home Secretary Amber Rudd has vowed to lower net migration.

Slating the calls for a ‘soft’ Brexit, Mr Farage told his LBC audience: “If we stay in the single market, [it would mean] some degree of free movement of people.
