A new poll has shown that a 53% support vote for brexit would come from a second referendum

The national poll of 2,000 Brits was carried out by thinktank Policy North, which represents business leaders in the North West, North East and Yorkshire, has shown that if there was another referendum today voters would back it by 57 per cent 43 per cent.Meanwhile the survey has also shown a growing appetite for a “no deal” with the EU with 34 per cent saying they want Britain to leave the EU immediately and 23 per cent wanting to leave once negotiations have concluded. Forty-three per cent want to remain.

Crucially, though it reveals that the unremitting campaign by Remainers to tarnish Brexit has failed with 23 per cent of past Remain voters saying they have switched to Leave.

This follows cabinet ministers Jeremy Hunt and Liz Truss saying they were wrong to back the Remain campaign because the Project Fear claims about the economy have proven to be false and would now vote for Leave given a second chance.

Polls are known to be suspect but it’s good to actually hear Hunt and Truss say they were wrong, a rare thing to hear from any politician!
